Position overview

Amphenol High Speed Products Group seeks an AI Data & Business Analyst for a new AI engineering capability within its NPI organization.

The analyst will turn engineering workflows and data into requirements, decision-ready insights, and measurable improvement opportunities.

Initial priorities include cost modeling, capacity analytics, NPI knowledge management, and adoption measurement for AI-enabled tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Map current and future NPI workflows for cost modeling, capacity planning, design reviews, and stage-gate activities.
  • Lead requirements discovery with NPI, industrial, process, test, quality, manufacturing, and program-management stakeholders.
  • Define business rules, data definitions, and KPI logic for cost, capacity, yield, schedule, and NPI readiness.
  • Extract, clean, reconcile, and structure engineering and factory data using SQL, Excel, Power Query, and related tools.
  • Develop analyses, dashboards, and reports that identify trends, constraints, tradeoffs, and actionable opportunities.
  • Partner with the Lead AI Software Engineer on automation requirements, test cases, and evaluation datasets.
  • Curate NPI knowledge content, including standards, lessons learned, cost models, and project history.
  • Establish success metrics for AI-enabled workflows; communicate results, document processes, train users, and support adoption.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant business analysis, data analysis, process improvement, or engineering analytics experience.
  • Experience improving engineering or manufacturing workflows and working with KPIs, business rules, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong SQL, Excel, and BI or data-visualization capability, including data reconciliation and clear communication of findings.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured requirements, measurable outcomes, and recommendations.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, change-management, independent-work, and influence skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, approximately 10–15%, to support global sites.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with PLM, ERP, MES, demand-planning, or factory/test data for NPI costing, capacity, schedule, or readiness workflows.
  • Experience with Power Query, basic Python or PowerShell, and AI/LLM-enabled tools, knowledge management, or evaluation methods.
