Night Manager – Retail Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Night Manager to oversee store operations during the night shift, ensuring efficient operations, inventory accuracy, staff supervision, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all store operations during night shifts.
- Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of night-shift employees.
- Ensure timely stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control.
- Conduct stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor store security, safety, and loss prevention procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve escalated issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Prepare daily operational and shift reports.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and store management teams.
- Ensure the store is fully prepared for the next trading day.
- Assist in managing daily store operations and achieving sales targets.
- Supervise and coach sales associates to maximise performance.
- Monitor sales KPIs and implement action plans to improve results.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns.
- Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and stock accuracy.
- Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff.
- Manage cash handling, POS operations, and daily reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
- Act as store manager in their absence
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
- Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader, or assistant manager.
- Strong sales, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of retail KPIs, inventory control, and store operations.
- Proficiency in POS and retail management systems.
