Role overview

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, network access control, and other security platforms.
• Implement network segmentation, firewall rules, access controls, and secure remote connectivity across IT and relevant OT environments.
• Harden Windows/Linux servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure to approved standards.
• Monitor alerts, logs, and network activity; investigate suspicious events and support cybersecurity incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate patching and remediation, and verify security controls.
• Review security-related changes, troubleshoot network and system security issues, and support operational continuity.
• Coordinate with IT teams, cybersecurity teams, and technology vendors to resolve issues and improve security.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and incident reports.

Required qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in network security, infrastructure security, systems administration, or cybersecurity operations.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, network engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and network security solutions.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, network segmentation, and access control.
• Practical knowledge of Windows/Linux security administration, hardening, Active Directory, and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.

Advantages

• Fortinet or Palo Alto experience is preferred.
• ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or IEC 62443 knowledge is an advantage.
• OT/ICS, critical infrastructure, or Oil & Gas experience is an advantage.
• CCNA, Fortinet FCP, Palo Alto PCNSA, or CompTIA Security+ certification is an advantage.
