Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 6 to 8 years of hands-on expertise in Core Network Infrastructure and Security Technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade network and security solutions using technologies and products such as Cisco and Fortinet (FortiGate).

The role involves supporting mission-critical network environments, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and optimal performance across LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, and perimeter security systems. The candidate should also be capable of coordinating with project teams, vendors, and clients for smooth execution of network-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support core network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center connectivity
• Manage and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies using Cisco platforms
• Configure and maintain network security solutions including Firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, NAT, IPS, and security policies using FortiGate and Cisco security products
• Perform network performance monitoring, fault diagnosis, and incident resolution
• Support high availability solutions, redundancy planning, and disaster recovery preparedness
• Coordinate with system integrators, contractors, and OEM vendors for project execution and issue resolution
• Review and validate network architecture, technical submittals, and implementation plans
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, client requirements, and industry best practices
• Prepare technical documentation including network diagrams, method statements, test reports, and handover documents
• Participate in testing, commissioning, migration, and cutover activities for network systems

Technical Skills Required

• Strong expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, NAT, VPN, QoS, and Multicast
• Experience with network security concepts including IPS/IDS, segmentation, access control, and perimeter defense
• Familiarity with wireless infrastructure (Cisco/Aruba) is an added advantage
• Exposure to Data Center networks and structured cabling backbone design is preferred
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools and centralized management platforms

Preferred Certifications

• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) – Preferred
• NSE / Fortinet Certifications – Preferred
• CCNA / FortiGate Certifications – Mandatory advantage

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination ability
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure project environments
• Strong documentation and reporting skills

Industry Preference

• Experience in Airports, Cargo Facilities, Critical Infrastructure, Government Projects, or Large Enterprise Environments will be highly preferred.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
