Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform genetic laboratory routines including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, electrophoresis, cloning, cell culture, and transgenesis.
• Conduct infertility genetic testing, including PGD, PGS, and NIPT, and mutation screening using NGS panel-based tests.
• Operate sequencing machines and perform library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis.
• Review and validate diagnostic genetic test results.
• Supervise and train laboratory technicians in routine genetic tests.
• Collaborate with physicians, biologists, and genetic counselors to determine appropriate tests for patients.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in genetics or biomedical sciences.
• Postgraduate studies in medical genetics, including training in laboratory and clinical genetics.
• Experience in clinical genetics and the specified genetic testing and laboratory routines.
• Good computer and technology skills, strong time management, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred technical skills

• Histopathology, cell culture, cell engineering, Y-chromosome deletion assays, and fluorescence microscopy are listed as preferred technical skills.

Salary and benefits
