Overview
A Mobile Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and other portable electronics.
The role requires both hardware and software expertise, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Perform repairs such as screen replacements, battery swaps, camera and charging port repairs, and internal component fixes.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot mobile operating systems and software applications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and service documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest mobile technology trends, repair techniques, and diagnostic tools.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring availability for efficient repair operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency with repair tools such as soldering irons, multimeters, and diagnostic software.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, often in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Previous experience in mobile device repair or a related technical field is advantageous.
