Mobile Engineer - React Native

Role Overview

Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain application features from implementation through testing and release, supporting reliable, responsive, secure experiences on iOS and Android.
• Build messaging, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup features.
• Implement interfaces connected to on-device peer-to-peer APIs and integrate push notifications, camera access, biometric authentication, and background tasks.
• Optimize real-device performance, including startup time, chat sessions, media processing, battery use, and network use.
• Maintain unit and end-to-end tests; support releases with continuous integration, crash reporting, and debugging.
• Collaborate across product, design, and engineering; participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience in React Native and mobile application development; strong JavaScript skills, including ES6+.
• Strong Redux and Redux-Saga experience, plus mobile application architecture and state management knowledge.
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs; familiarity with mobile optimization, debugging, and testing.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or fully remote engineering teams.
• Interest in improving and optimizing mobile or web applications; strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication in English.
• Swift and Kotlin familiarity is an advantage; Xcode and Android Studio experience is a plus.
• Peer-to-peer framework or decentralized technology experience is a bonus.
