Minibar Attendant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Replenish guest-room minibars according to daily schedules; check expiry dates, product presentation and equipment cleanliness.
• Record minibar consumption accurately and submit charges promptly.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, stock shortages and discrepancies to the Minibar In-Charge.
• Maintain clean minibar storage and pantry areas; collect and organize stock using FIFO procedures.
• Respect guest privacy and follow hotel security procedures when entering rooms.
• Follow departmental policies and service standards, including HACCP, hygiene, safety, JDP and corporate Food & Beverage standards.
• Provide professional, friendly and courteous guest service, maintain positive colleague relationships, and perform other duties requested by the manager.

Qualifications

• Previous minibar experience of at least one year in a luxury hotel is preferred.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine, spirits, liqueurs and cigars; wine and spirits certificates are an asset.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and POS systems.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills; interpersonal and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work flexible shifts; highly responsible and reliable.
• Able to focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous; willing to learn new concepts and ideas.
