Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure across networking, compute, storage, identity, security, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Use Azure networking and infrastructure services including Virtual Networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, VPN/ExpressRoute, VMs, and Storage.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep, and/or ARM templates; automate with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and DevOps practices.
• Manage Azure migrations, infrastructure modernization, and hybrid-cloud solutions.
• Own delivery planning, estimation, scope, risks, dependencies, quality, and timelines; lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Work with architects, clients, and senior stakeholders; drive Agile delivery, governance, operational readiness, and service transition.
• Support solution shaping, proposals, and cloud transformation initiatives.

Experience and qualifications

• Infrastructure or cloud engineering experience with strong Microsoft Azure expertise.
• Hands-on Azure infrastructure, networking, security, and hybrid-cloud experience, plus knowledge of on-premises infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in Terraform or Bicep, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD; experience with Azure governance, monitoring, backup, resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Proven technical delivery and engineering-team management experience; strong project governance, Agile, stakeholder-management, client communication, and leadership skills.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are desirable; AZ-305 is highlighted as a differentiator.

Workplace and mobility

• The role is based in London and may require time on site with clients and partners; flexibility and mobility are required.
