Merchant Product Operations Manager (Mandarin-Speaking)
to bridge the gap between our Business Development, Merchant Operations, and Product teams.
In this role, you will own the operational design, translate business needs into product requirements that improve merchant experience and operational efficiency.
You will represent the UAE business with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize local market needs, drive system enhancements, and deliver solutions that support merchant growth
What You'Ll Do
- Lead the digitalization of merchant marketing workflows by understanding Business Development and merchant pain points, and translating them into scalable product solution
- Gather business requirements and independently prepare Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) for new product features, marketing tools, and operational workflow
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize UAE business requirements, advocate for local market needs, and drive feature implementation from concept through launch
- Own merchant operational processes across the lifecycle, including onboarding, qualification reviews, contract management, fee approvals, settlement reconciliation, and marketing compliance
- Drive system enhancements that strengthen compliance controls and improve operational efficiency while mitigating business risks
- Lead cross-functional projects involving Product, Business Development, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams, ensuring timely execution and successful delivery
- Monitor adoption and performance of new product capabilities, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through data-driven insights
What We Need From You
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Operations, Platform Operations, or Product Management within a technology company
- Experience working on
- merchant-facing products or B2B platform
- solutions is mandatory
- **Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written) is mandatory**
- Demonstrated experience writing Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) or similar product requirement documentation
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Product and Engineering teams and advocate for business priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize product initiatives using data and business impact
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects across Product, Engineering, and Sales teams.
