Role overview
Manage the merchandising process from product development through final shipment in the textiles and garments industry.
Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams using industry knowledge and strong communication.
Responsibilities
- Liaise between buyers and production teams; interpret buyer needs and develop samples.
- Source fabrics, trims, and accessories to buyer specifications.
- Coordinate design, production, and quality teams; monitor progress, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Manage costing and pricing, and negotiate with vendors and buyers.
- Maintain purchase orders, tech packs, sample trackers, and production files.
- Analyze market and competitor trends and pricing; ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
- Manage buyer communications for order placement, approvals, follow-ups, and updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of similar experience in the textile or garment industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, fabric types, trims, and accessories.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and merchandising software.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and orders under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with international standards, testing protocols, and compliance is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 2,000 per month.
