Role overview

Trade supervision and coordination

• Plan daily activities, allocate manpower, and monitor productivity and workmanship across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and subcontractor teams.
• Supervise electrical containment, cabling, distribution boards, lighting, power, earthing, and equipment connections against approved drawings.
• Supervise HVAC ductwork, insulation, equipment installation, applicable refrigerant and chilled-water piping, condensate drainage, grilles, and diffusers.
• Supervise water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, water heaters, and required pressure and leak tests.
• Coordinate fire alarm, firefighting, emergency lighting, data, CCTV, and access-control works with specialist contractors.
• Coordinate MEP services with partitions, ceilings, joinery, and finishes; check routes, clashes, equipment access, and maintenance clearances.

Quality, safety, and reporting

• Use the latest approved drawings; identify discrepancies and obtain MEP Engineer clarification before making changes.
• Prepare material requirements and quantity take-offs, verify deliveries, maintain stock records, and control material wastage.
• Inspect installations, arrange inspections, close snags, support testing and commissioning, and ensure concealed works are inspected before covering.
• Conduct toolbox talks, enforce PPE and safe practices, verify permits and isolations, report unsafe work, and coordinate shutdowns.
• Submit daily reports on manpower, completed quantities, photographs, material needs, delays, and upcoming activities; escalate programme or cost issues.
• Maintain as-built mark-ups and assist with test records, equipment documentation, snag closure, and handover.

Qualifications and experience

• Engineering or diploma qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a relevant technical discipline; the description states a diploma is required.
• Seven years of UAE MEP experience and proven supervision of MEP installations on interior fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Read coordinated MEP drawings, electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, reflected ceiling plans, and specifications.
• Understand applicable DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, building-management, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Coordinate electrical, HVAC, and plumbing trades, escalate technical matters to the responsible engineer, and manage teams to tight schedules.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, email, and daily site reporting; AutoCAD drawing viewing and markup is preferred.
• Effective English communication is required; Hindi or Urdu is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.

Pay

• AED 5,000–7,000 per month.
