MEP Project Manager

Role overview

Project delivery and coordination

• Ensure projects finish on schedule, within budget, and deliver value while maintaining safe working conditions and high quality.
• Ensure technical work complies with contract conditions, specifications, drawings, and BOQs.
• Ensure technical-submittal specifications and authority regulations are followed on site.
• Report work progress and necessary site modifications to clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Supervise MEP subcontractors and coordinate material and installation approvals with clients and consultants.
• Coordinate subcontractor work across project phases and supervise the construction team.
• Track bid summaries, RFQs, LPOs, PDCs, letters of credit, and other relevant documents.
• Monitor work progress and resources and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors to address concerns and meet project requirements.
• Support HSE initiatives, safety awareness, and incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Experience and education

• Minimum 8 years of work experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
• Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) or LEED Certification.

Job knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects, project-management methodologies, and building codes.
• Knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building, high-performance design, and MEP construction, including electrical and controls.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing techniques.
• ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional skills are preferred.
• Marketing strategy and market-analysis knowledge is a plus.
• Energy efficiency, performance contracting, commissioning, BIM, or green-building knowledge is a plus.
• Listed competencies include agility, AI fluency, resilience, quality, leadership, heat transfer, metals and alloys, HVAC design, piping/plumbing, pneumatics, team building, and providing direction.
