MEP Manager / Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Manager

Overview

Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, project delivery, testing & commissioning, or project management
• Experience as an MEP Manager OR Testing & Commissioning Manager OR Senior MEP Engineer OR Commissioning Manager
• Proven experience in hotel, hospitality, resort, mixed-use, or large-scale building developments
• Strong expertise in hotel project handover, operational readiness, and project close-out activities
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and supervision teams
• Previous KSA OR GCC project experience is highly desirable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Electrical Engineering OR Building Services Engineering OR MEP Engineering OR a related Engineering discipline
• Master's Degree in Engineering OR Project Management is an advantage
• Professional Engineering Registration OR Membership with a recognized engineering institution is preferred

• Experience in delivering successful hotel handovers from construction completion through operational readiness is essential

Contractor Coordin

• ation
• Coordinate and manage MEP contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and specialist vendors
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of outstanding works
• Resolve technical and coordination issues during project close-out stages
• Conduct coordination meetings and drive closure of action items

Supervision Team Management

• Lead and manage site supervision teams and MEP inspectors
• Monitor quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements
• Review contractor performance and ensure adherence to approved specifications
• Provide technical guidance to project stakeholders.

Systems Integration

• Oversee integration of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & Life Safety, ELV, BMS, and specialist hotel systems
• Ensure all building systems function seamlessly and meet operational requirements
• Coordinate interfaces between various disciplines and stakeholders

Testing & Commissioning

• Lead testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems
• Review and approve commissioning plans, procedures, and method statements
• Coordinate witness testing with consultants, operators, authorities, and contractors
• Ensure systems achieve required design performance and operational functionality

Hotel Handover & Close-Out

• Manage snagging, de-snagging, punch list closure, and final inspections
• Review O&M manuals, warranties, training records, and as-built documentation
• Coordinate handover to hotel operations and facilities management teams.
• Ensure all project close-out requirements are completed and documented.
• Support Defects Liability Period (DLP) activities as required.

Technical Compete

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, BMS, and integrated building systems.
• Expertise in testing, commissioning, and systems integration.Strong understanding of hotel operational requirements and hospitality standards.
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, commissioning plans, and handover documentation.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards and local authority requirements.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) ORCertified Commissioning Authority (CxA) OR ASHRAE Certification OR LEED Accredited Professional OR equivalent professional certification
