Drawing production
- Prepare electrical shop drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams for landscape lighting, power points, pump stations, irrigation controllers, and other outdoor systems.
- Create as-built drawings, cable routing plans, and load distribution charts in coordination with site and design teams.
- Produce plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software to government or authority standards.
- Prepare drawings and diagrams to project specifications, tender requirements, and bills of quantities.
- Review drawings and calculations for errors and omissions and revise layouts as project requirements change.
Coordination and project support
- Compile data and specification sheets and coordinate concepts, updates, and site-specific information with designers, engineers, technicians, and other personnel.
- Calculate areas, lengths, quantities, and takeoffs; identify items or areas missing from tender drawings or bills of quantities and inform the project manager.
- Prepare as-built drawings in line with site progress and submit drawings on time.
- Maintain and operate plotters and printers and organize filing, storage, and retrieval of manual and electronic drawings.
- Incorporate safety procedures into construction drawings and complete closeout or legacy project drawings to required standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Technical Manager.
Role requirements
- Use CAD software and relevant industry standards to produce accurate shop drawings and layouts.
- Work with project specifications, tenders, bills of quantities, and government or authority standards.
- Check drawings and calculations for errors and omissions and coordinate details with project personnel.
- Calculate areas, lengths, quantities, and takeoffs from drawings.
- Adapt to frequent project changes and meet drawing submission timelines.
