MEP Coordinator

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and fire alarm works.
• Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements; coordinate builder's work and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and architectural teams to prevent clashes and integrate building services.
• Inspect installation progress and quality; resolve design conflicts and site coordination issues with project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, UAE regulations, project quality, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover; follow up on material approvals, submittals, RFIs, and method statements.
• Attend project meetings, report progress, track schedules, and maintain inspection reports, coordination drawings, and technical records.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Mandatory experience on UAE villa and high-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Good understanding of MEP drawings, specifications, and construction standards; experience in MEP coordination, clash detection, and resolving site technical issues.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; ability to coordinate across departments and manage site requirements.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 25,000 per month.
