MEP (AC & Electrical) Technician

Role overview

AC and HVAC responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot split AC, package AC, FCU, AHU, and other HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, servicing, cleaning, and replacement of faulty components.
• Diagnose AC mechanical and electrical faults; check refrigerant levels, compressors, motors, thermostats, and controls.
• Respond to AC breakdowns at project and telecom sites.

Electrical responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including DBs, distribution panels, isolators, sockets, and lighting.
• Use suitable testing equipment to troubleshoot faults; perform cable termination, routing, and basic connections.
• Check power supplies, breakers, contactors, relays, and electrical control circuits.
• Support electrical works for telecom equipment, shelters, equipment rooms, and data center facilities.

MEP and site responsibilities

• Carry out general MEP installation, maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and site inspections.
• Read basic electrical, HVAC, and MEP drawings; coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Identify faults and report technical issues; follow project requirements and safety procedures.
• Maintain tools and work areas and travel to UAE project sites as required, including for emergency breakdown maintenance.

Requirements

• ITI, diploma, or technical certificate in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, or MEP.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on AC/HVAC and electrical experience, including independent fault troubleshooting.
• Ability to read basic electrical and MEP drawings and knowledge of electrical safety and general HSE requirements.
• UAE experience in telecom, construction, MEP, facilities management, or data center projects is preferred.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage; willingness to work at different UAE project locations is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; good communication and teamwork skills.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Salary and benefits

• Salary is AED 3,000–4,000 per month depending on experience and technical skills.
• Candidates with strong UAE experience, AC/HVAC expertise, electrical troubleshooting skills, and a valid UAE driving licence may be considered for higher salary.
• Additional benefits are provided according to company policy and employment package.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
• Travel to different project sites across the UAE is required when needed.
