Medical Laboratory Histotechnology
About This Role
Perform complex tissue processing techniques, including fixation, dehydration, clearing, and embedding, to prepare specimens for microscopic examination, ensuring optimal tissue preservation and structural integrity.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as microtomes, automated stainers, and coverslippers, troubleshooting issues and performing routine maintenance to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Conduct a wide range of staining procedures, including special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC), interpreting results and identifying cellular structures and abnormalities, contributing to accurate diagnoses.
Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and solutions, meticulously following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines to ensure accuracy and consistency.
