Medical Lab Technicians play a crucial role in the healthcare industry, conducting lab tests crucial for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
As a Medical Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and compliant lab environment.
Medical Lab Technicians work closely with healthcare professionals to provide critical test results and assist with the care of patients.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory tests under the supervision of a medical technologist or scientist.
- Prepare biological samples for testing according to established protocols and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
- Ensure all necessary quality control procedures are followed during sample analysis.
- Accurately record and report test results to healthcare professionals in a timely manner.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment adhering to all safety regulations.
- Handle sensitive and hazardous biological materials with proper safety precautions.
- Collaborate with other lab staff to ensure accurate and efficient workflow in the lab.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in laboratory technology and practices.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and order new supplies as necessary for laboratory needs.
Requirements
- Associate degree in medical laboratory technology or related field is required.
- Certification as a Medical Lab Technician by an accredited body preferred.
- At least one year of experience working in a clinical laboratory environment.
- Proficiency in the use of laboratory information management systems and software.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating lab results and collaborating with healthcare teams.
