The Mechanical Engineer - CxA is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering L2–L5 commissioning activities for assigned systems or areas.
The role balances technical delivery, documentation, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring readiness for acceptance.
Commissioning responsibilities
- Lead verification of installation readiness and review installation checklists, ITPs, and method statements.
- Prepare commissioning plans and witness commissioning of individual plant and equipment items.
- Verify operation, settings, controls, and protections before progression to system testing.
- Coordinate and witness system functional tests and verify sequences of operation and system responses.
- Support integrated systems testing and validate resilience and recovery outcomes.
- Assist with client demonstrations and acceptance activities.
- Approve progression between commissioning stages within defined scope.
- Recommend acceptance or rejection of test results.
Technical skills and experience
- Five to eight years of commissioning experience in mission-critical or complex facilities.
- Proven data-centre or critical-infrastructure exposure is mandatory.
- Strong technical documentation and coordination skills.
Performance measures
- Technical accuracy and robustness of testing.
- Timely issue resolution and close-out.
- Quality and completeness of documentation.
Location
- The role is based in Ajman.
