Mechanical Design Engineering Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with drafting, drawing development, and engineering documentation.
- Support design engineers with project work, including drawing creation, revisions, and release processes.
- Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving activities related to new equipment designs and improvements to existing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to redesign legacy equipment to meet updated performance requirements and sanitary guidelines.
- Assist with testing, evaluation, and documentation of engineering design changes as needed.
- Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate project updates as needed.
- Support additional engineering projects and initiatives as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program at an accredited university. Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology are preferred but not required.
- Solid Works experience is required.
- Must be entering junior or senior standing with a current GPA of 2.8.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivated
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate integrity, dependability, attention to detail, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
