Materials & Manufacturing Engineering Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn and gain hands-on experience with systems, processes, and equipment used through Urschel and the Metallurgical Lab
- Assist with failure analysis investigations and materials-related evaluations
- Support manufacturing challenges, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical support to engineering and manufacturing teams
- Participate in projects focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, quality, and performance.
- Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate project updates as needed.
- Support additional engineering projects and initiatives as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program at an accredited university. Materials, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering majors are preferred but not required.
- CAD experience is preferred; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Must be entering junior or senior standing with a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate integrity, dependability, attention to detail, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
