Maintenance work
- Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, maintain inventory, and requisition parts and supplies.
- Repair and troubleshoot building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pool-heating, and other hotel equipment.
- Perform advanced MEP troubleshooting and use related preventive-maintenance and energy-management programs.
- Use lockout/tagout and follow applicable safety procedures; communicate shift updates and perform Engineer on Duty readings and rounds.
- Train and mentor other engineers when needed.
Required qualifications
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification is required.
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
- Ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics and perform complex repairs safely.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and vocational or technical background are preferred.
- Extensive related maintenance training and experience, including electrical or refrigeration, inventory, and surface preparation and painting, are preferred.
- At least two years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license are listed as preferred.
Work conditions and conduct
The role involves carrying tools, moving objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and working on stairs, ramps, ladders, and in varied physical positions.
Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, assist guests, and cooperate with team members.
