Associate relationship manager for Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and sovereign wealth fund (SWF) clients across MEA.
Responsible for client coverage, profit generation, business pipeline development, and contributing to Mizuho Financial Group revenue.
Duties and responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for selected FIG and SWF clients across MEA.
- Generate profit, build business pipelines, and contribute to Mizuho Financial Group revenue.
- Offer sophisticated financial solutions to existing customers and prospective clients.
- Originate business with customers and coordinate with relevant Mizuho Group departments to maximize group profit.
- Oversee and assess credit and general risks associated with clients and the financial services offered.
- Take actions under internal credit procedures in cooperation with Credit, Execution, and Portfolio Management.
- Oversee contracts and documentation with internal and external lawyers.
- Comply with banking regulations, including DFSA, FCA, and JFSA requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
- Undertake other ad hoc tasks requested by the General Manager or Junior General Manager.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Customer-centric career experience and sound knowledge of the banking industry.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, computer literacy, and data manipulation and presentation skills.
- Great organisational and time-management skills and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to innovate, support change, solve problems, and contribute collaboratively to team performance.
- Language skills are an asset but are not essential.
Working arrangements
