Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Trade Exhibition Marketing Manager to join our expanding Sales & Marketing team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving revenue growth by engaging with clients, identifying their exhibition and marketing needs, and promoting our exhibition services and opportunities.
You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility, generate qualified leads, and support exhibitor and sponsorship sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a marketing team of five (5) or more members, ensuring effective task delegation, performance tracking, mentoring, and professional development.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans aligned with event and organizational objectives.
- Plan, manage, and control marketing campaign budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and maximum ROI.
- Actively seek and engage prospective clients in the target industries to promote our exhibitions and services.
- Forecast marketing expenditures and allocate resources efficiently across campaigns and events.
- Lead the production of promotional videos, exhibitor promo reels, and other multimedia marketing materials.
- Manage media partnerships, collaborations, and press release distribution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate media partner contracts and agreements.
- Oversee social media management, campaigns, and strategic collaborations across platforms.
- Supervise the development of marketing materials including event catalogues, exhibitor kits, flyers, newsletters, and PSRs.
- Coordinate venue branding requirements and ensure proper on-site promotional visibility.
- Oversee exhibitor and visitor marketing campaigns to drive attendance and engagement and oversee on-site event marketing management and conference team coordination.
- Collaborate with IT for digital marketing tools, website updates, and technical integrations.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and implement improvements for continuous growth.
- Ensure content updates and marketing alignment across MIE websites and digital platforms.
- Coordinate credentials and visitor system usage related to marketing and event operations.
- Lead project team collaboration and cross-department coordination to ensure seamless execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospecting clients through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
- Conduct market research to identify potential industry trends and opportunities for new exhibition concepts.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and expand the client base.
- Stay updated on industry developments and competitors' activities to identify unique selling points and maintain a competitive advantage.
Requirements
- Proven 5+ years’ experience in B2B - exhibition & events industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of B2B marketing strategies, lead generation, and brand positioning within the exhibitions or events sector.
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social media, email marketing, PR, and content marketing).
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing marketing spend to maximize ROI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present performance reports to senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive high team performance.
- Knowledge of exhibition marketing lifecycle including exhibitor acquisition, visitor promotion, sponsorship marketing, and post-event analysis.
- Creative mindset with the ability to identify new market opportunities and innovative promotional strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills, with proven ability to work effectively with media partners, vendors, sponsors, and external stakeholders to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions as required.
- Fluency in English & Arabic is mandatory; while proficiency in additional languages such as French will be considered an advantage.
