Role overview

Production support

• Supports operations involving welding, machining, cutting, and thermal processes.
• Follows safe work procedures around rotating machinery, cutting systems, energized equipment, and welding operations.
• Maintains awareness of guarding and pinch-point hazards around boring mill, lathe, and cutting operations.
• Reports unsafe conditions, tooling issues, and quality concerns promptly.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous metal manufacturing experience is an asset.
• A strong commitment to safety procedures and guidelines is required.
• Blueprint reading ability is an asset.
• Knowledge of oil and gas and the manufacturing industry is an asset.
• A solid understanding of hand and power tools and trade equipment is expected.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, comfort around heavy equipment, and understanding of machining hazards are required.
• Candidates should be able to follow work instructions and be willing to learn multiple production support functions.

Screening and education

• Secondary School education is required.
• A Criminal Record Check is required.
• Candidates must complete a background check and pre-employment medical before starting.

Schedule and employment

• Shift availability is listed as to be determined.
• The position is permanent and full-time.

Pay and benefits

• Pay is $20.00–$23.00 per hour.
• Benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, paid vacation, and other listed benefits.
• RRSP matching and employee training and education reimbursement are available after 90 days.
• The position may qualify for annual bonuses.
