Role overview

Fleet systems and digital solutions

• Manage vessel management systems, including PMS, crewing, HSEQ, procurement, and fleet management platforms.
• Lead digital transformation and process automation across fleet operations.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and performance analytics for management decisions.
• Integrate vessel, ERP, finance, procurement, crewing, and HSEQ platforms.

IT infrastructure and communications

• Manage vessel and shore-based IT hardware, networks, and technology assets.
• Oversee vessel communications and connectivity systems, including VSAT, Starlink, and Inmarsat.
• Ensure technology reliability, cybersecurity compliance, and operational continuity.
• Manage IT asset lifecycles, upgrades, and technical support requirements.

Contracts, compliance, and change

• Manage technology contracts, vendor evaluation, negotiations, renewals, SLAs, and supplier performance.
• Standardize processes and support continuous improvement and cost optimization.
• Ensure systems support ISM Code, IMO, ISO, and client requirements; support audits, inspections, and governance.
• Drive user adoption through training, guidance, and implementation support; promote digital best practices.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in digital solutions, fleet systems, IT infrastructure, or technology project management; the description also states five to eight years of marine or project experience.
• Experience managing maritime communications systems and technology vendors.

Technical qualifications

• Vessel systems: AMOS, NS5, Helm CONNECT, ShipNet, Danaos, or similar.
• ERP: SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, reporting tools, maritime communications, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration.

Language and professional skills

• English is listed as a language skill; Arabic is preferred.
• Project coordination, stakeholder management, maritime compliance, and problem-solving.
