Role summary

Role profile

• Advise Oman business leadership and stakeholders on legal and risk matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases, settlements, NDAs, procurement, service, consultancy, construction, fit-out, and marketing agreements.
• Support leasing and asset-management matters, including defaults, charges, terminations, handovers, operational issues, and contractual rights.
• Manage disputes, claims, litigation, enforcement, settlements, and external legal counsel.
• Support governance documents, authorized signatories, corporate records, and required filings.
• Lead negotiations with tenants, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and partners.
• Maintain legal records, templates, risk reporting, and compliance; collaborate across functions and develop junior legal colleagues.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Omani commercial, corporate, real estate, leasing, and dispute-resolution laws, particularly for asset management and mall operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Oman/GCC legal qualification preferred. Postgraduate studies in business, real estate, construction, or commercial law are advantageous.
• At least 7 years of post-qualification legal experience; Oman/GCC and relevant industry experience are preferred.
• Strong commercial judgment, risk assessment, stakeholder management, and communication skills; professional English and preferably Arabic.
• Proven ability to manage litigation, arbitration, disputes, settlements, and external counsel.
• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills across leasing, procurement, services, construction, and commercial agreements.
