Role Overview

The Manager – International Stations is responsible for overseeing line maintenance operations across the airline's international outstations, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and on-time performance.

The role serves as the primary liaison between the airline, maintenance providers, airport authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe and efficient maintenance support for the international fleet network.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all line maintenance activities at international stations to ensure aircraft safety, airworthiness, and operational readiness.

Ensure compliance with GACA, EASA, FAA, OEM, and company maintenance requirements, policies, and procedures.

Monitor aircraft technical status and coordinate timely rectification of defects and technical discrepancies.

Lead and support maintenance providers and contracted MROs at international stations to ensure adherence to service level agreements and performance standards.

Ensure efficient allocation of maintenance resources to support on-time departures and minimize operational disruptions.

Coordinate with Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), Engineering, Operations Control Centre (OCC), and station teams to manage AOG and operational recovery situations.

Monitor maintenance performance, reliability trends, delays, cancellations, and technical incidents across the international network.

Conduct regular audits and performance reviews of contracted maintenance providers and vendors.

Manage maintenance budgets, vendor performance, and operational costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Support investigations of technical events and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Develop operational procedures, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8–12 years of aviation maintenance experience, with significant exposure to line maintenance operations within airlines or MRO organizations.

Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience managing international maintenance stations, line maintenance operations, or technical services.

Proven experience managing outsourced maintenance providers and international vendor relationships.

Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance planning, reliability, technical records, and operational control processes.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple international locations and support a 24/7 operational environment.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience within a commercial airline environment.

Experience managing international outstation maintenance operations across multiple countries.

Exposure to airline technical operations, maintenance control, and aircraft reliability programs.

Knowledge of aviation maintenance systems and ERP platforms.
