Role overview

IT service delivery

• Own incidents, service tasks, problem tickets, and system optimization for the operations portfolio, delivering against commitments, SLAs, and outcomes.
• Establish and improve standard work; communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
• Partner with business units on daily operations, incident/problem resolution, and continuous service improvement.
• Deliver highly available IT services through service-level management practices that adapt to business demands.

Leadership and governance

• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary organization delivering business and technical solutions, process functionality, technical capability, and automation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop IT teams in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
• Implement and govern common operating procedures, controls, and metrics to strengthen quality, compliance, and operational resilience.
• Develop and manage the IT budget for the area of accountability.

Improvement and business alignment

• Execute multiple priorities and business requirements, developing solutions for enterprise needs and differentiated business capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement programs to improve automation, monitoring, and analytics capabilities.
• Manage contracts with strategic vendors and support the enterprise applications portfolio.

What you will have

• Organizational leadership knowledge and ability to enlist others in setting and achieving objectives.
• Functional and/or technical SAP knowledge.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development or support tools, such as GitHub Copilot or automated agent workflows, to improve delivery, reduce cost or effort, or optimize support.
• Experience managing contracts and vendor relationships.
• Lean or Continuous Improvement background.
• Ability to translate between technical and business language and bridge support teams with business stakeholders.
• Experience as a leader in the IT space.

Schedule

• The position requires a five-day-per-week schedule.
• Shift timing is 01:00–10:00 PM IST.

Location preference

• The role is preferably based at Caterpillar PSN in Bangalore.
