Role overview

Freight sourcing and commercial management

• Develop and execute air, sea, and road freight strategies across GCC markets, focusing on Far East and Indian subcontinent trade lanes.
• Manage airlines, liners, transporters, consolidators, and freight partner relationships.
• Conduct RFQs, tenders, and proposals; negotiate rates, contracts, space allocations, and SLAs.
• Build value propositions around transit time, pricing, reliability, visibility, and compliance.
• Ensure competitive procurement and seasonal capacity planning.

Performance and compliance

• Monitor carrier performance, service quality, market trends, and competitor rates.
• Coordinate with operations to support seamless shipments and resolve escalations and issues.
• Monitor shipment KPIs and conduct customer presentations and solution workshops.
• Ensure regulatory and customs compliance; prepare monthly business reviews and management reports.
• Use market intelligence and analytics to improve service offerings and margins.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of UAE/GCC freight market dynamics.
• Experience in rate procurement, carrier negotiations, and pricing management.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and freight documentation.
• Experience working with freight management systems.
