Management Accountant - Dubai

The Role

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts in a timely manner, including but not limited to, profit and loss reports, balance sheets and cash flow forecasts, along with other relevant financial information such as variance analysis, trend analysis, spend analysis reports and graphical representation of items within the financial statements.
• Verification of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and profit and loss analysis.
• Ensuring the completion of month end journals such as prepayments, accruals and depreciation.
• Ensure accurate general ledger records and oversee any relevant month-end close processes
• Month end review of bank reconciliation for any relevant UAE bank accounts
• Reconcile any relevant intercompany balances and key balance sheet accounts
• Support group consolidation and reporting requirements
• Support compliance with UAE accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
• Ensure local tax obligations are registered, prepared, submitted and paid as appropriate, liaising with external advisors where relevant.
• Assist with financial queries, including audit, where necessary.
• Support Motel’s sustainability initiatives by considering how our practices can improve, actively working in line with the sustainability journey of the business.
• Any other duties as requested, this list is not exhaustive and other duties may be required, according to the needs of the business

Secondary Duties

• Assistance with gathering information for relevant inspections and reviews.
• Assistance with management accountant duties for other group entities during periods of absence or other unavailability.

• Good IT skills and the ability to work well with various software packages.
• An appropriate financial qualification is highly desirable
