Management Accountant

About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant based in Doha to support financial planning, budgeting, management reporting and decision‑support across the business. The role combines technical accounting skills with commercial insight to drive cost control, profitability analysis and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

  • Management reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, variance analysis, commentary and dashboards for senior management and business units.
  • Budgeting &* forecasting:* Lead annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasts and rolling forecasts; consolidate business inputs and produce scenario analyses.
  • Cost analysis &* control:* Analyse cost drivers, overhead allocations, product/service profitability and recommend cost optimisation measures.
  • Financial modelling: Build and maintain financial models for business cases, pricing, CAPEX appraisal and sensitivity analysis.
  • Performance KPIs: Develop, monitor and report on financial KPIs (gross margin, EBITDA, contribution margin, working capital days) and operational metrics.
  • Month‑end close support: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare accruals/prepayments, support journal postings and ensure timely month‑end close.
  • Variance investigation: Investigate and explain budget vs actual and month‑on‑month variances; liaise with operations and commercial teams to resolve issues.
  • Costing &* inventory:* Maintain costing methodologies (standard, activity‑based or actual), perform inventory valuation checks and support stock reconciliations where applicable.
  • Internal controls &* compliance:* Maintain strong financial controls, support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Partner with commercial, operations and finance teams to provide actionable insights and drive business performance.
  • Systems &* processimprovement:* Support ERP/LFR implementations or upgrades, optimise reporting processes and automate routine financial workflows.
  • Ad hoc analysis: Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support for strategic initiatives and management requests.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in management accounting, financial planning & analysis, or similar role; experience in Doha/Qatar or GCC preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with month‑end close, budgeting and financial modelling.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of local tax, statutory reporting and regulatory requirements in Qatar is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills advantageous.
  • Valid work authorisation for Qatar.
