Maintenance Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical services, maintenance operations and infrastructure management across multiple sites.
• Develop preventive, corrective and structural maintenance strategies for operational efficiency and asset reliability.
• Provide technical guidance on infrastructure, equipment and facility matters.
• Oversee buildings, utilities, machinery, vehicles and other operational assets.
• Supervise construction, renovation and infrastructure improvement projects for technical compliance, budget and schedule.
• Set maintenance procedures, operational standards and performance indicators.
• Lead and evaluate technical teams and allocate resources.
• Manage departmental budgets, procurement plans and maintenance expenditures.
• Oversee contractors, suppliers and external service providers.
• Conduct technical assessments, inspections and risk evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and organizational standards.
• Prepare technical reports and performance recommendations for senior management.

Required qualifications and experience

• Technical degree, diploma or relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Facilities Management or a related technical discipline.
• More than 15 years of relevant experience in technical services, maintenance, infrastructure or facilities management.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and maintenance operations across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of building systems, utilities, mechanical and electrical equipment, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Experience in maintenance planning, asset management, operational improvement, and construction or infrastructure projects.
• Capabilities in budgeting, procurement, contractor management and cost optimization.
• Leadership, organization, decision-making, problem-solving and priority-management capabilities.
• Understanding of HSE regulations and technical compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
• Fluency in English and French.

Preferred qualifications

• Preferred: experience across geographically dispersed or remote sites, large-scale operational facilities, industrial environments or specialized infrastructure.
• Preferred: familiarity with SCADA, Building Management Systems (BMS) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Preferred: experience with maintenance performance indicators, asset lifecycle planning, continuous improvement, technical tenders, contractor evaluation or project commissioning.
• Proficiency in Arabic or Russian is preferred.
