Overview
The Maintenance and Inspectors Supervisor for the AFC system is responsible for overseeing the daily activities and performance of maintenance technicians and inspectors assigned to Automatic Fare Collection equipment.
This role ensures that all maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks are executed promptly, safely, and to high standards.
The supervisor plans work schedules, assigns tasks, provides on-site supervision, and sets priorities to minimize AFC system downtime and revenue impacts.
Additionally, the role involves training staff on proper work methods and safety procedures, coordinating complex repairs, managing spare parts inventory, maintaining accurate logs and reports, and responding to unscheduled repair or inspection requests.
Acting as the frontline authority, the supervisor ensures AFC system reliability, compliance with operational procedures, and consistent quality of service delivery.
Your role
- Daily Supervision: Oversee maintenance technicians and inspectors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Work Planning: Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and set priorities to minimize downtime and revenue impacts.
- Training & Safety: Train staff on proper work methods, safety procedures, and compliance standards.
- Complex Repairs: Coordinate and supervise complex repair activities to restore system functionality.
- Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and tools inventory to support maintenance operations.
- Logs & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of maintenance and inspection activities.
- Unscheduled Requests: Respond promptly to unscheduled repair or inspection requests.
- Performance Assessment: Assess team performance and ensure consistent quality of service.
- System Reliability: Act as the frontline authority on AFC system reliability and compliance with operational procedures.
- About you
- Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in AFC systems or transport infrastructure.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of AFC equipment, preventive/corrective maintenance, and inspection procedures.
- Leadership: Ability to lead teams, assign tasks, and manage performance effectively.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in maintenance operations.
- Analytical Skills: Competence in evaluating system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with staff, stakeholders, and management.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for handling unscheduled repairs and operational challenges under pressure.
