Role overview
The Maintenance Coordinator oversees preventive and corrective maintenance and supports safe, efficient facility infrastructure and asset operations.
The scope includes MEP, HVAC, civil, and building management systems.
Maintenance and operations
- Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil, and secondary building systems; monitor performance and energy use through BMS and site audits.
- Supervise technicians and daily facility operations, and respond to emergencies and equipment breakdowns to limit downtime.
Contractors and projects
- Coordinate repairs, installations, inspections, and routine maintenance with internal teams and external contractors; monitor work against scope, metrics, and quality standards.
- Support budgeting, procurement, and maintenance planning; evaluate contractor bids and verify material requests.
- Coordinate renovation, fit-out, and facility improvement projects through completion, and support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
Compliance and reporting
- Ensure compliance with UAE safety standards, environmental guidance, and DEWA, Civil Defense, and Municipality requirements; conduct inspections and enforce risk controls.
- Maintain records, work orders, and reports using CAFM/CMMS platforms and prepare performance and asset health reports.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–4 years of progressive facilities management or maintenance coordination experience; facility management experience is required.
- Retail, hypermarket or supermarket, restaurant, or commercial facilities experience is highly preferred.
- A valid UAE driving license is required.
