Machinist II Power Door

Education and/or Experience

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school, or six months to one year of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior CNC and conventional machining experience preferred; programming experience strongly desired.
• Skills and Abilities
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and process documentation.
• Proficient in applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and geometric tolerancing to machining tasks.
• Effective problem-solving and reasoning skills to address nonstandard production situations.
• Basic computer proficiency for operating CNC interfaces and maintaining documentation.
• Clear oral and written communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
• Physical Demands
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for handling materials and operating machinery. Frequently required to sit, bend, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance). Vision requirements include close, peripheral, color, and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus.
• Work Environment
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, or risk of electrical shock. Safety gear must be worn at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
