Key responsibilities
- Develop logistics and transportation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, and fleet management.
- Optimize delivery routes, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Manage budgets, operating costs, and performance targets.
- Establish procedures to improve productivity, service quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Lead teams and coordinate suppliers, carriers, contractors, and business partners.
- Monitor inventory movement, shipment schedules, and distribution performance.
- Ensure regulatory, safety, and company-policy compliance; identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Evaluate systems, adopt efficiency-improving technologies, and manage third-party logistics providers and service agreements.
- Analyze operational data, drive continuous improvement, and report recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of fleet management, distribution networks, and warehouse operations.
- Leadership experience managing large teams and operational resources.
- Strategic planning, analytical, problem-solving, budgeting, cost-control, and performance-management skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and logistics software.
- Ability to manage complex operations and drive continuous improvement.
