Responsibilities
- Develop logistics strategies aligned with organizational objectives and supply chain requirements.
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory, distribution, and order fulfillment.
- Improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, enhance service delivery, and track performance against targets.
- Manage supplier, freight forwarder, transportation provider, and third-party logistics relationships.
- Ensure compliance with transportation rules, customs procedures, and safety standards.
- Lead teams, set priorities, support staff development, and manage budgets.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Operations to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Evaluate logistics technologies; identify risks and contingency plans; analyze performance and report strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain management.
- Leadership experience overseeing logistics operations and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, freight management, and distribution planning.
- Experience with budgets, cost optimization, and operational performance improvement.
- Strategic planning, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with logistics management systems, ERP platforms, and supply chain technologies.
- Understanding of transportation regulations, customs requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and implement operational strategies.
