Linux System Administrator

About This Role

We are seeking a seasoned Linux Systems Administrator manage a mission-critical enterprise environment encompassing physical (Bare-Metal) and virtualized (VMware/KVM) infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Linux lifecycles, advanced storage arrays (Pure Storage, HP MSA), RAID configurations.

Responsibilities:

1. Server Lifecycle Management (Physical & Virtual)

• Manage the full lifecycle of Physical Servers, including rack mounting, cabling, firmware updates (iLO/iDRAC), and hardware diagnostics.
• Provision, clone, and optimize Virtual Machines (VMs), ensuring efficient resource allocation (CPU/RAM) and snapshots management.
• Coordinate hardware repairs and vendor support for physical server components (Power supplies, DIMMs, etc.).
• Perform Daily monitor and Health Check of performance of Linux servers and do the needed resources upgrades
• Troubleshooting and analysis of hardware and software failures for all servers and systems under this role responsibility
• Applying security patching and hot fixes in a safe way and timely manner to ensure servers are up to date and secured
• Oversee the deployment and validation of SSL Certificates across the entire infrastructure stack.
• 2. Database & High Availability Support Configure

Network Bonding/Teaming on physical servers for redundancy and increased bandwidth.

• Coordinate with operations and database teams to deploy any needed scenario, HA environment, or application.
• Coordinate with DBA team for Oracle database Backup and Restoration issues
• Collaborate on network design including VLAN segmentation, DNS troubleshooting, and routing protocols
• 3. Proxy and Email Security Management

of WEB Proxy to and Internet polices and permissions for users and servers.

• Daily management and monitor of email security system

Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience in Linux and storage Administration
• High Level Education in related field
• Linux Mastery

: Managing multiple Linux distributions (RHL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu) and Linux shell scripting, SSH, SCP, and SFTP configurations

• Extensive hand on experience with

Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform

to automate servers and software deployment tasks

• Hybrid Infrastructure

: Proficient in managing Physical, and Virtual Server environments (VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization).

• Good understanding of Networks concepts and protocols, TCP\IP, IP Schema, VLANs, DNS, …
• Extensive experience on storage environments, file systems, SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, …
• Data Protection:

Deep Knowledge in Backup and restore concepts, Procedures, and technologies.

• Certificate Management:

Proficient in the lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates (CSR generation, renewal, and CA management).

• Experience with monitoring tools such as PRTG and OP-Manager
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC Architecture, configuration and implementation.
• Security & Proxy:

Experience managing Symantec ProxySG (BlueCoat) and Symantec Email Security
