Lifeguard/Pool Attendant role supporting pool and fitness facilities and guest service at a Mondrian property.
Duties are performed in assigned work areas and may include rotation across departments or property areas.
Pool, gym and guest service duties
- Monitor pool and gym users, enforce safety rules and proactively identify hazards to prevent accidents.
- Greet guests, distribute towels, assist with seating and respond courteously to requests and complaints.
- Clean and maintain the pool deck, gym, changing rooms, restrooms and related facilities.
- Maintain towels and furniture, collect litter and used towels, and keep facilities orderly.
- Report defects, hazards, injuries and operational issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Demonstrate exercises or explain techniques and safety rules to guests.
- Communicate pool food and beverage requests to servers.
- Follow opening and closing, key-control, lost-property and emergency procedures.
- Maintain supplies and equipment, reduce waste, separate recyclables and dispose of general waste correctly.
- Attend briefings, meetings and training, and coordinate with other departments.
Knowledge and standards
- Understand pool and gym facilities, operating hours, locations and emergency procedures.
- Follow health, hygiene, fire, emergency and workplace safety procedures.
- Have basic knowledge of first-aid principles and practices.
- Maintain professional guest service, appearance and personal hygiene standards.
- Know hotel facilities and services to answer guest enquiries.
- Follow hotel policies for keys, guest privacy, lost property and safe waste handling.
- Understand and apply the stated ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and environmental policies and procedures.
