Role Overview
The Cafeteria Supervisor supports employee dining services and helps maintain high service, sanitation, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise food and refreshments service for employees and ensure seating and meals are available for all shifts.
- Clean and maintain cafeteria equipment, tools, fixtures, service stations, and storage areas.
- Maintain familiarity with employee menu and buffet items and set tables with required condiments and utilities.
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
- Manage food control, stock taking, ordering, and quality control.
- Assist stewards with cafeteria utensils used during meal and tea breaks.
- Provide assistance to employees in the cafeteria.
- Participate in food welfare committee meetings, team meetings, training sessions, and employee welfare events.
- Work with the Hygiene Manager and Chief Steward to meet food safety and municipality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is required.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for hospitality are required.
- Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality are required.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
