Opportunity

Care Responsibilities

• Provide resident-directed nursing care and assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs with medical professionals and staff.
• Provide clinical care including palliative care, medication administration, venipuncture, catheter insertion, and head-to-toe assessment.
• Safeguard, administer, and record prescribed medications in line with policy and scope of practice.
• Assist residents with hygiene, daily living activities, meals, positioning, transfers, and special care needs.
• Apply dressings and treatments as ordered; assist with care plans and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
• Consult with interdisciplinary teams, promote policy compliance, and maintain knowledge of legislation and continuing-care priorities.
• Lead, mentor, train, and assist in supervising health services staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing Program and approved Pharmacology and Physical Assessment course if not completed during the diploma.
• Current registration with the provincial regulatory body.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification; clear criminal record and vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
• Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Alzheimer's and Dementia Care coursework is an asset.

Pay

• Approximate hourly wage is $29.75–$34.74.
