LGV Driver

Key responsibilities:
- Multi drop deliveries of building materials by articulated (Class 1) lorry to customers; both building sites and residential addresses
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers, and making sure every load is safely secured before it leaves the yard
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks, and reporting any defects
- We're a team so if needed, help the yard team to load and unload lorries
- The customer is always our priority and we'll go the extra mile to do whatever it takes
- What you need:
- Essential:
- Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
- Experience driving articulated vehicles, including coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Driver CPC qualification card (Driver Qualification Card)
- Digital tachograph card
- Good understanding of drivers' hours rules and daily vehicle checks
- Friendly, professional manner with customers
- Able to work well on your own and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Happy to do some physical work, including handling materials and working outdoors in all weathers
- Nice to have (training provided if not):
- HIAB or lorry loader certificate
- Counterbalance forklift licence
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries or construction sites
