As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and business-oriented **Legal Counsel** to oversee legal affairs and provide strategic guidance across all areas of the company.
Position Overview
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing the company's legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, mitigating risk, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
The successful candidate will advise management on commercial transactions, contracts, regulatory matters, employment issues, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, logistics agreements, transportation contracts, supplier agreements, and service contracts
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and operational matters
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws affecting logistics and supply chain operations
- Support corporate governance activities, legal filings, and regulatory requirements
- Manage legal disputes, claims, litigation, and dispute resolution processes
- Advise leadership on risk management strategies and legal implications of business decisions
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, regulators, and government authorities as necessary
- Develop and maintain compliance programs, internal policies, and legal procedures
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic business initiatives
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the logistics and transportation industry
- Protect company interests in contractual negotiations and commercial transactions
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree) from an accredited institution
- Licensed and in good standing with the appropriate legal authority or bar association
- Minimum 5+ years of legal experience in corporate, commercial, logistics, transportation, or supply chain law
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex legal matters and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within logistics, transportation, warehousing, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries
- Experience supporting cross-border transactions and international commercial agreements
- Familiarity with trade regulations, customs compliance, and transportation law
- Previous in-house counsel experience is highly desirable

- Pay: QAR35,000.00 - QAR40,000.00 per month
