Role overview

The Strategy Analytics team builds understanding of Depop's marketplace, answers strategic questions, and identifies opportunities for growth.

The role works with Strategy, Strategic Finance, and Executive stakeholders on strategic projects and commercial reporting.

The role requires independence and direct engagement with senior stakeholders, and includes management of one direct report.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics on ambiguous strategic questions and support special projects with Strategy, Strategic Finance, and Executive teams.
  • Support new growth opportunities and cross-functional teams, including expansion into new domains when needed.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly company reporting through core slide outputs and focused analyses of trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Own the forecast model as the key subject-matter expert for topline GMV forecasting and explain deviations from actual performance.
  • Support Strategy and Executive teams as an Insights contact, solving ambiguous problems under time pressure.
  • Manage one direct report.

Requirements

  • Exemplary problem-solving skills, particularly in creating meaningful analysis from ambiguous questions.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
