Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Build knowledge of employee health and benefits offerings and client requirements through RFP review and collaboration with pursuit teams and strategists.
• Lead preparation and final review of proposals, ensuring client-scope alignment, quality, company-standard compliance, and timely delivery.
• Improve proposal content using templates, content databases, and captured best practices.
• Coordinate onshore stakeholders, SLAs, turnaround times, open items, and internal queries.
• Use tools including Dynamics CRM, QorusDocs, and SharePoint for proposal work and documentation.
• Drive process improvements and training; mentor, coach, and develop team members and delegate work.

Experience and qualifications

• 8–10 years in presales or bid management in a professional services environment.
• A relevant graduate or postgraduate degree is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and written and verbal communication, including business writing, proofreading, and editing.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, document management, and bid management tool proficiency.
• Intermediate expertise in automation tools and large language models.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and collaboratively while maintaining customer focus.

Tools and additional strengths

• Bid tools may include AutoRFP.ai, Loopio, RFPIO, Qvidian, QorusDocs, or Altura.
• Document tools include SharePoint and Google Drive; visualization tools may include Tableau or Power BI.
• APMP, PMP, or Certified Proposal & Bidding Professional credentials are differentiators.
• Adaptable communication, facilitation, influencing, problem-solving, content writing, and knowledge management are valued.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid role with at least three days per week in the office; Marsh expects colleagues to work from the local office or client site at least three days per week.
