Role overview

Workplace

• Hybrid role based in the Adelaide office, with at least three office days each week.
• Marsh states that colleagues work from their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Gather claim information, determine claims, prepare correspondence, calculate settlements, and process payments.
• Support timely claims resolution and risk advice for civil liability matters.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and claims-management support to meet service standards and team objectives.
• Support onsite client servicing and other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for work with councils, claimants, lawyers, assessors, and other parties.
• Claims-process experience from inception through finalization is helpful but not essential; on-the-job training is available.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills, plus data-processing, analysis, and reporting skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently within a committed team, and able to manage multiple stakeholders.
• A legal qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Local government, civil liability, scheme-based claims, or public-sector risk and claims experience is advantageous.
