Required experience and knowledge
- At least 7 years of front-end engineering experience, including at least 3 years in React Native development and proven technical delivery leadership.
- Banking, financial services, digital channels, internet banking, mobile banking, or fintech experience is mandatory.
- Experience delivering customer-facing applications with high availability, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of API-driven architecture, microservices, secure authentication, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience in large-scale Agile, DevOps, and cross-functional delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of mobile security, certificate pinning, OWASP Mobile Top 10, and secure SDLC.
- Experience leading frontend teams, defining technical standards, and making architecture and design decisions.
Required skills
- Strong expertise in React Native, React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Redux, Context API, React Hooks, and responsive web design.
- Hands-on integration experience with REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT authentication.
- Knowledge of iOS and Android application lifecycle management.
- Expertise in state management, reusable component libraries, performance tuning, and mobile application optimization.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and DevSecOps.
- Skills in code reviews, debugging, automated testing, secure coding, and technical problem-solving.
- Ability to mentor developers, manage technical priorities, and uphold engineering best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable, high-performance React Native mobile banking applications.
- Lead React.js frontend development for customer-facing digital banking journeys.
- Define frontend architecture, coding standards, reusable components, and development practices.
- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, architects, security teams, and backend developers.
- Oversee API, microservices, OAuth/OIDC, and enterprise middleware integrations.
- Ensure security, regulatory, secure coding, and accessibility compliance.
- Optimize performance, scalability, responsiveness, and user experience across mobile and web.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, testing, and production issue resolution.
- Support CI/CD automation, DevSecOps, and continuous improvement of build, test, and deployment processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate technical risks, delivery timelines, and dependencies with stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Retail or corporate banking application delivery experience is preferred.
- Mobile application security testing, penetration testing, and regulatory compliance knowledge are preferred.
- Enterprise-scale digital transformation and omnichannel banking platform experience are preferred.
