Lead Planning Engineer

Role overview

Planning and project control

• Oversee project planning and scheduling; develop detailed plans, timelines, resource allocations, and milestones.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to track progress, identify variances, and take corrective action.
• Prepare and update project control documents; analyze data to optimize production and installation sequences.
• Support risk assessments and mitigation plans, report to leadership, and communicate with internal and external partners.
• Continuously improve planning processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong planning, production planning, project scheduling, resource planning, analytical skills, and project control capabilities.
• Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera or MS Project and standard MS Office tools.
• Relevant experience in industrial projects, automation, or energy/utilities; ADNOC-related experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead planning functions, manage multiple projects, and work in mission-critical, safety-focused environments.
• Knowledge of ISO-certified project environments, risk management, and cost control practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration and clear, structured reporting.
